Jennifer Checkis, LCSW
"I strive to provide a caring and non-judgmental experience for you to heal, learn, and grow. It is my greatest honor to share life and explore resources for healing through difficult times. I use a variety of treatment modalities that are evidenced based and will be sensitive to your needs."
WELCOME, WONDERFUL TO MEET YOU!
I offer a "whole person" approach to caring for my clients, exploring individual experiences, the systems that impact them, and physical, healthy lifestyles. I have experience working with historical trauma and community barriers (such as poverty, isolation, lack of support systems, etc.).
I enjoy being a part of a team that puts my clients at the center. I am one contributor to the goals that the client will set for improved physical and emotional health, as well as developing a more robust and fulfilling life. In discussing difficult issues, I believe it's important to balance conversation with mild and gentle humor, yet also knowing when to "get serious" with a trauma informed approach.
