I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with many years of experience. I enjoy working with individual adults and couples as well. In our work together I will help you become empowered to deal with burnout, past trauma, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and stressors of everyday life. Also, as a trilingual therapist, who speaks Hindi and Bengali, and as a first generation born Indian American, I can appreciate the challenges and possible feelings of alienation faced by others who are also born “first generation.”
My therapeutic approach is individualized, collaborative and supportive. I may incorporate mindfulness and meditation practices to help you live more fully in the present moment, or offer you tools to help with behavior changes. Together we will work on developing a treatment plan based off of your past experiences and future goals. My aim is to listen to you, support you, and help you understand yourself better. The importance of providing you a non-judgmental and culturally sensitive space as we work together is of the utmost importance to me.
