Hello!

Life is this beautiful, chaotic, and sometimes painful experience we are all gifted with. When we encounter moments life becomes difficult due to one thing or another, it is important to find a pathway of peace, hope and strength through our challenges. It often helps when someone—a professional person with a background supporting people who are looking for a way through. I would be privileged to have an opportunity to come alongside and help you find a path through the painful, chaotic times. Louisa May Alcott once said, “I am not afraid of storms for I am learning how to sail my ship.” As we sail through life, it can help to have someone there helping to learn how thoughts, feelings, stress, depression, anxiety impact the calm still water within ourselves. If you choose to work with me, you will find I have an easy-going nature that accepts you for who you are and where you are at. I’ll work with your strengths and gifts that have helped in the past and, together, we build will from there. Some clients have shared that they find my style comforting and something that gives them hope, after feeling hopeless. I bring to your therapy experience over 35 years of background working in all aspects of mental health. Reach out to me, I’m happy to help.

I’m similar to the clients I work with in a lot of ways. Before becoming a psychologist, I held numerous jobs as a warehouse worker, a cook, a salesman, a teacher, and a nurse. I began working in mental health in the 1983 first as an assistant for hospitalized persons suffering with mental illness. I then became a psychiatric nurse where I helped clients with their medications the psychiatrist prescribed them. For the last 24 years I have provided psychotherapy to hundreds of clients. I think my long time working as a therapist and my down to earth nature is what makes me different.
