I offer an attachment based holistic approach to therapy, seeing you as a complex whole person.
I believe in the Daoist saying about the human life: “There are ten thousand joys and ten thousand sorrows.” I believe this to be a profound and inescapable truth. Therapy offers an opportunity for support through the sorrows and a celebration of the joys.
I value our therapeutic relationship and hold you in positive high regard at all times.
Together we will explore your physical, mental, spiritual and relational health. We will work together to find where the harmony and disharmony exists and together find ways to create more peace and well being in your life, your health, and your relationships.
Kari offers an attachment based holistic approach to therapy. She combines her unique education as a trauma informed clinical mental health therapist with her training as a body worker and sees a person as a whole complex being.
Kari believes our relationship attachment styles are learned in our early childhood years and influence our relationships throughout our lives. She believes positive and negative experiences are held in the body and affect our health.
Kari works with individuals and couples and has clinical experience and advanced training in EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), EFT (emotion focused therapy), and mindfulness and meditation.
