I use a collaborative approach and treatment includes trauma informed care as well as implementation of the body/mind connection drawing upon my Health Coach Certification and Yoga Teacher Certification.
I draw upon my experience of working with BIPOC community and identify as Asian American/Pacific Islander. I also have experience in working with the LGBTQ+ community.
My experience also includes providing clinical supervision for providers seeking licensure, as well as leadership roles with therapists, residents, interns and staff. I have worked in residential settings with children as teens.
Dr. Dimalanta uses a variety of approaches including evidenced based treatment and collaboration with her clients. Primary approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. She incorporates holistic treatment by addressing body and mind treatment including yoga and movement. Dr. Dimalanta is a Certified Health Coach and has a yoga teacher certificate. She has been in practice for 25+ years with children, teens, and adults.
