Judy Harun

LPC
Therapist

HELLO!

I work with clients as a supportive and empowering partner in their life journey while they work to find their paths, healing, and purpose. Instead of finding solutions for the problems that bring them to therapy, I work to empower them so that they learn to  find solutions for themselves.
To treat each client with the utmost respect, unconditional positive regard, and nonjudgmental manner is something I strive to do. I integrate both traditional and modern theoretical approaches to mental health therapy as well as various techniques from across various models.

I have rich cultural background. I grew up in a multicultural country (Kenya), worked in Japan for several years before relocating to Alaska where I have had opportunities to interact and work with clients from various cultural backgrounds.

You can learn to reframe the thoughts and feelings that tend to poison your attitude and consequently your decisions when upsetting or distressing emotions arise from challenges in your life. Judy approaches therapy from the worldview of each person, tailoring the techniques to suit the needs of each person.
