My approach is always genuine, client-centered, and collaborative with a focus on unconditional positive regard that provides a safe space for clients to explore and resolve the issues bringing them to therapy.
Jamie Lloyd is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 10 years of experience providing therapy for individuals, groups, couples, and families. She graduated from Northwest Christian University with a Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling. For the past 5 years, Jamie has worked in a rural primary care clinic doing integrated care and found it to be both challenging and rewarding. She has worked in two additional primary care settings as well as in private practice and additional agency settings, seeing clients of all ages and from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
Her approach to therapy is most frequently Family Systems using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, or Motivational Interviewing. Jamie is also trained in EMDR and Dialectical Behavior Therapy and most often uses a mixture of interventions tailored to meet the client’s individual needs. Jamie believes that the most important factor in helping others is the therapeutic relationship. Care is always trauma informed and patient centered.
