While completing her BA in Psychology and a Single Subject teaching credential in English, Frances Campbell initially worked with troubled youth within the S.D. community court schools, and then shifted to working with adults who were transitioning from the psychiatric state hospital to a lower level of care. After obtaining her BSN/RN license, Frances worked in the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit and an Adult Substance Abuse/Mood Disorder Unit within the inpatient behavioral health care setting. She then pursued her Master’s Degree in Nursing specializing in psychiatry. As part of her internship with UCSD, she worked with individuals in various outpatient clinics and the ER, who were coping with a diverse spectrum of psychiatric diagnoses.
